On April 16th my dear friends Mark and Amber got married!  I was fortunate enough to be there to photograph Amber getting ready through some of the craziness at the reception.  It was a really beautiful ceremony filled with a few tears and a few giggles…. “Aisle, Alter, Hymn”…..HA!!!!  After the reception we took the Des Moines Trolley Company’s amazing trolley downtown for a few pics!!  Then it was time for a few Jägerbombs cocktails and pictures at Wellmann’s Pub in West Glen.  The reception was jam-packed with good food, delish cake and some epic, EPIC dancing!!!  I am so delighted that I was able to be part of Mark and Amber’s special day!  I will warn you that this post is a little photo heavy, but with a couple as hot and a reception as fun as this….there’s just too many images to choose from!!!  Enjoy!

my husband

One of the many great things about shooting a friend’s wedding is that I get to spend a little QT with my hubby! The not so great thing is the embarrassed stares I get from Brandon while I, oh I don’t know…stand on the bar to get a great photo angle like this one! I’m sure he was shaking his head, wondering why I don’t get kicked out of more places! : ) His disapproval is marked with a hot pink arrow for your enjoyment!
